WINTERPORT – William John Manning died Jan. 24, 2012, at his home. He was born April 17, 1949, in Philadelphia, to Charles and Dorothy (Haydt) Manning.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Linda Johnson Manning of Winterport; his son, Brian J. Manning of Abington, Mass.; his daughter and son-in-law, Carla J. and Todd V. Sanders of Hollis Center; his sister, Maryanne Comly of Ottsville, Pa.; and his brothers, Charles Manning of Bradenton, Fla., and John Manning of Ottsville, Pa. Bill will be missed by many friends at St. Gabriel’s Church and Shaw’s. Special thanks to Dr. Nancy O’Neill, the staff at Brewer Medical Center and to Hospice of Eastern Maine.
Family and friends are invited to visit 5-7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27, at Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hampden. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, Main Street, Winterport.
