PALM BAY, Fla. – Richard “Dick” Carrier, formerly of Bristol, Conn., passed away Jan. 22, 2012, after a short illness. He was born June 9, 1937, in Keegan, to Fred “Peter” Carrier and Emma Madore.
He worked at JF Frederick Tools, Farmington, Conn., for many years. He was an active member with Pattaconk Yacht Club, Chester, Conn., was a member of Meriden Power Squadron and was also an active member of the National Rifle Association.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 50 years, Mary Priscilla Martin Carrier of Bristol, Conn.; two daughters, Lorraine Carrier of Bristol, Conn., and Donna Andrews of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two granddaughters, Lisa Tardiff of Bristol, Conn., and Savanah Andrews of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; one grandson, Mark Tardiff of Bristol, Conn.; two brothers, Robert and Gilman Carrier of Van Buren; and one half brother, Alfred Carrier of Lady Lake, Fla.
