BREWER – Betty Louise (Jellison) Perry, 86, wife of the late Samuel J. Perry Sr., passed away peacefully Jan. 25, 2012, surrounded by her loving family at a Bangor hospital. She was born Sept. 4, 1925, in Augusta, the daughter of John and Edna (Johnson) Jellison.
She attended Baxter School for the Deaf, Portland, and was employed by Viner Shoe Co., for many years, retiring in 1980. Betty was a long-standing member of Bangor Deaf Club and Central Massachusetts Deaf Senior Citizens Center. She had a great love for animals and enjoyed many years of quilting, crocheting and embroidering.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband and siblings. Betty is survived by two children, Bonnie and her husband, Wayne Deane, of Brewer and Samuel J. Perry Jr. of Brooks; grandchildren, Benjamin Deane, Jessica and her husband, Caleb McNaughton, Jason Perry and his wife, Rachelle, and Samantha Perry Esteban and her husband, Melvin Bradford; great-grandchildren, Hunter Deane, Alexander, Zachary, Ella, Jasmine and Delilah Perry, Sameiah and Maselle Bradford; her devoted and caring partner, Arnold Berry.
Friends may call 3-5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at Brookings-Smith, Brewer Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer. A private interment will take place this spring.
