PATTEN, Maine — Police are looking for a Patten man who reportedly fled the scene of a snowmobile crash Thursday night.
Maine State Police Sgt. Brian Harris said in a statement Friday that the accident happened just before 11 p.m. at the intersection of Heald Avenue and Pleasant Street in Patten. Trooper Carman Lilley, who investigated the crash, determined that the snowsled, being operated by Ronald McGraw, 39, of Patten, was driving on Heald Avenue when he struck a parked tractor-trailer owned by Kerry Swallow of Patten.
A passenger on the sled, Michael Grant, 27, of Patten suffered a possible broken leg in the crash.
Harris said that McGraw fled the scene on the sled while Grant stayed behind and later was taken by ambulance to Houlton Regional Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The 2007 Peterbilt owned by Swallow was not damaged in the accident, and damage to the snowsled is unknown because it had left the scene before the trooper’s arrival.
Harris said that attempts to locate McGraw have been unsuccessful.
Troopers still are looking for McGraw to speak to him about the accident.
Anyone with information regarding McGraw’s whereabouts is encouraged to call the Maine State Police at 532-5400.
Lilley was assisted by Trooper Jillian Monahan and Patten Fire and Ambulance.

Police want to Taze and pepper spray, before they speak to him, please call
….
Class act. Leaving an injured buddy while this dirt bag boogies.
A perfect example of the entitlement attitude fostered for the past thirty plus years.
Both of them, that is!
You must be a cross between a deep woods turkey and a seriously whacked theologian. The seven deadly sins directly attributed to politics. You need a tinfoil sombrero.
I know them both.My post stands on it’s own merits
I’m sorry Park but your comment is a perfect example of someone hearing a buzz word repeated endlessly and subsequently extending it to facets of life where it is not applicable, including this story.
I know them both.
My post stands on it’s own merits.
He will show after he sobers up.
The sleds have evolved, too bad some of the cro mags driving them have not. Thousands of Mainers ride responsibly, the bad apples ruin it for the rest of us.
seems funny to me that the cops are all over this but it’s a different story when the sherriff of penobscot can tell his “buddy that the state police are investigating him” and NOTHING comes of it.
just goes to show DON’T TRUST THE POLICE. ANY OF THEM. they take care of thier own. they really don’t care for you or me, unless there is money in it for them. or that they can make some kind of name for themself. it really is the good ol boy’s club.
This guy McGraw is what we would call a Blue Falcon for sure.
how come all the criminals in this state, their last name begins with “Mc”
It’s that Irish seven course meal they had consumed before snowmobubbling.
A six pack and a baked potato.
This is the second stupidest statement I have heard….Ya I am sure it has to do with his last name and the fact that it is Irish.
Thats the stupidest statement I have heard in a long time…..I think there are many other criminals in Maine that don’t start with “Mc” and ones that have done much worse than this.
No damage to the big rig.. The person stayed back to get help… Move along, nothing to see here..
My guess is that you could find him in bed with a bottle of advil, a bad hangover and a stiff neck.
