LEVANT, Maine — Firefighters continued to battle a blaze Sunday evening in Levant at the home of a family that includes two local firefighters and a chaplain, according to a former Levant firefighter who answered the phone at the fire station.

The call went out around 3 p.m. Sunday after a fire broke out at 197 Wing Road, according to a Penobscot County dispatcher.

A father, who is a firefighter in town; his wife, who is a chaplain; and their son, who also is a firefighter, live at the home, according to former Levant firefighter and family friend Mike Watson.

“They’ve probably lost about everything,” Watson said. He said none of the family members was hurt.

Firefighters from eight area communities arrived at the scene, according to the dispatcher.

They were still at the home at 6 p.m. Sunday, according to Watson.

    1. Call the Levant station, they are a pretty tight knit group, and all the family members volunteer there. The number is in the book. Kind of you for thinking of them in there time of need.
