TRESCOTT – Phillip E. Archer, 75, passed away Friday morning, Jan. 27, 2012, at Maine General Hospital with his son, Donnie Archer of Biddeford at his side. He was born July 10, 1936, in Lubec, the son of Rolla and Emily (Davis) Archer.
He served in the Korean War and was much loved by his family, friends and community.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Archer of Trescott; and four of his five children, Michael and his wife, June Marzoll, of Oakham, Mass., Pamela Wiswell and her husband, Peter Poulin, of Chelsea, Betty and her husband, Lonnie Moores, of Trescott and Donnie Archer of Biddeford; a stepdaughter, Alice Bonomo; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Phillip also leaves behind four of his five siblings, Elizabeth Gardner, Rosalin Miller, Raymond Archer and James Archer. He was predeceased by a son, David Archer; and a brother, Osborne Tinker.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at Christian Temple Church, Main Street, Lubec, with a reception afterward at the American Legion, Lubec. Arrangements are in care of McClure Family Funeral Services, Machias and Lubec.
