HOLDEN – Anna E. Turner, 85, passed away Feb. 3, 2012, after a short illness. She was born Feb. 25, 1926, in North Anson, daughter of Hazel and Frank Kitchen.
She graduated from Anson Academy and was a member of First Congregational Church of North Anson, where she sang joyously in the church choir.
She is survived by her daughter and best friend, Bonnie Stockdale of Marlborough, Mass.; granddaughter and kitchen mate, Angela Stockdale of Marlborough, Mass.; grandson and pitch partner, Josh Stockdale of Marlborough, Mass.; granddaughters, Trisha Austin and Lori Hayden of Skowhegan; daughter-in-law, Darla Pickett of Skowhegan; brother, Blaine McNeil of Nova Scotia; and three fabulous great-grandchildren and special family members, David, Nancy and Jean. She was predeceased by her son, James Pickett; and soulmate, Phil Carpenter. A special thanks to her loving family at Holden Square and to the caring staff at St. Joseph Hospital.
Interment will be at Somerset Cemetery, North Anson, in the spring when the wildflowers bloom. A service of Brewer Chapel of Brookings-Smith.
