PERRY – Austin Carl Frost, 51, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012, at his home. Austin was born Nov. 19, 1960, in Eastport, son of Herbert and Catherine (MacNichol) Frost.
He graduated from Shead Memorial High School, class of 1980. Austin started his truck driving career with Altruck, eventually purchasing his own truck in 1987 and starting A.C. Frost Trucking. He was a proud member of the National Rifle Association and enjoyed hunting, traveling, and most importantly spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Austin was predeceased by his father, Herbert; his first wife, Rolene Blake Frost; former mother-in-law, Mary Blake; brother-in-law, David Langway; and his dear friend, Frank Davenport. Surviving are his mother, Catherine Frost of Perry; his loving wife, Geneva Duncan-Frost of Perry; four children, Jennifer Marie Wingard and her husband, Geoffrey, of Orono, Tammie Call and her husband, Kevin, of Levant, Cyrus Duncan and his wife, Jody, of Dedham, and Jeanette Murphy and her husband, Carl, of Southport; nine grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Brian Duncan, Jessica Murphy, Abigail Wingard, Shannon Murphy, Natasha Call, Zachary Duncan, Chana Wingard, Rachael Wingard and Samuel Wingard; three sisters, Paula Frost and her partner, Lillian Cox, of Perry, Sandra Russell and her husband, Archibald, of Darien, Conn., and Lillian Hinton of Perry; two sisters-in-law, Cindy Marie Orcutt and her husband, Jerry, of Ellsworth, and Sherry Langway of Bangor; his former father-in-law, Roland Blake of Windham; and his children, Terry, Steve, Danny, Scotty and Peggy; numerous nieces, nephews and friends; and his faithful canine companion, Nikki.
Visiting hours will be held 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, at Mays Funeral Home – Flagg Chapel, 72 High St., Eastport. A celebration of Austin’s life will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Perry Congregational Church, Shore Road, Perry. Burial will be at Restlawn Cemetery, Perry.
