BANGOR and HODGDON – Wilfred “Will” Taylor, 95, passed away peacefully Feb. 5, 2012, in Eddington. He was born March 29, 1916, in Hodgdon, the son of Miles A. and Sarah “Sadie” (Robinson) Taylor.

Will served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service, Houlton, and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters and drove truck across country. Will enjoyed meals delivered by the Murray family, especially the holidays. He looked forward to his “sweet” trays filled with homemade baked goods. His favorite foods included meatloaf, peanut butter fudge, Breyer’s coffee ice cream, Wendy’s hamburgers and breakfast at Howard Johnson’s.

Will had special people in his life, including the Murray family: Debbie, Billy, BJ and Angel, Rosemary Delano-Meritt; and the staff at Wendy’s, Union Street, Bangor. A special thank you to Beacon Hospice and staff, Donna, Krissan and Jean for their compassion and care of Will in his final days, Eddington Fire and Rescue; Brookings-Smith and Dunn Funeral Home for their services.

At Will’s request, there will be no services. Interment will be at Hodgdon Cemetery in the spring. A service of Dunn Funeral Home.
