BANGOR, Maine — The U.S. Postal Inspection Service has charged a Sedgwick man with felony sexual abuse of minors — a state violation — but is releasing no details about the alleged crime.
“The case is still under investigation,” U.S. Postal Inspector Scott Kelley, who handles child pornography cases for the New England region, said in a telephone interview Tuesday from his office in Massachusetts. “We’re still in the fact-finding stage.”
Patrick Gaffney-Kessell, 27, was arrested in Blue Hill by Kelley on Jan. 25 and was booked into the Penobscot County Jail in Bangor. He has since been released on bail and is barred from unsupervised contact with minors under the age of 16, a jail official said.
Kelley, who declined to answer any questions about why Gassney-Kessell was charged, said he is working with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Bangor about whether the suspect should face federal charges. Gassney-Kessell works in the kitchen at the Blue Hill Co-op, according to the group’s newsletter and a woman who answered the phone Tuesday.
If convicted of the charge against him, he could face up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $5,000. (Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN)

Yep and it will continue as long as the Judges keep suspending their sentences.
Lately it seems to be, cant blame it on the long hard winters. I know what i blame it on , but the people who say the access to porn is there god given right would tell you that we cant blame it on easy access are the same ones who stand in the denial line along with the ex alcoholics and drug users !
I’m not going to disagree in entirety, but I believe that most people can enjoy some porn, and not do anything vile. Some will say drugs fuel these desires, and with some individuals, that may be. I’ve done all of your run of the mill, growing up in the 70’s and 80’s drugs. Never felt like rape. I’ve watch some porn, been to the bars, all the things most young men did, no desire for children. I don’t believe it’s drugs nor porn, just a deranged, perhaps abused-as-a-child, sicko, that should have more attention paid to than some things that consume our energy.
If this man was arrested by a postal inspector it is absolutely guaranteed that he will be facing federal charges. His charges most likely will relate to the production of child pornography and the distribution of it.
Five years in prison and a $500 fine. In other words, we’ll be seeing more victims of the creep in 5 years.
He will not get 5 years we will be lucky if he gets 5 days.
