NORTH BERWICK, Maine — Three residents were held at gunpoint early Friday morning as two suspects robbed their home.
Two suspects, dressed all in black, kicked open a door at a residence on Beech Ridge Road at 3:25 a.m. on Friday morning, according to North Berwick Police Chief Stephen Peasley. The suspects, wearing ski masks, held the two adults and one 6-year-old child at gunpoint as they stole cash and prescription drugs. One shot was fired into a wall during the incident. No one was injured in the invasion.
Chief Peasley declined to go into detail about the amount of cash and types of prescription drugs stolen. Police believe the home invasion was an isolated incident and have had no similar crimes in town.
According to Peasley, the residents of the invaded home have not been “100 percent cooperative” in telling the police everything about the incident. Therefore, police are looking for as much information from the public as possible.

My first thought is that the homeowners were dealing, and the robbers knew what they were after from the get go. I could be totally wrong, but that’s my impression.
sad to say that thought crossed my mind too. I would think that if this happened to me I would completely tell everything theres more to this that we just dont know yet and as for the child omg! he/she will remember this for a long time poor kiddo

We don’t give our criminals enough punishment, but we sure give them enough publicity.
I don’t know about “enough publicity”, I’d like to see more publicity such as mug shots, previous convictions, mitigating circumstances in trial reports etc…
As Paul Harvey always said, it’s time for “the rest of the story”…..
This is getting ridiculous – no one is safe in this state anymore. They have to start getting extremely tough on those involved in home invasions.
