LAC LONG, Quebec, and PORTAGE LAKE – Patrick Leo Gagne, son of Pierre Antoine Gagne and Febrenie (Soucy) Gagne, passed away Feb. 8, 2012, from complications with pneumonia.
He was predeceased by his parents; his loving wife, Jeanne (St. Pierre) Gagne; daughter-in-law, Eva Gagne; several brothers and sisters. Patrick is survived by his four children, Pierre, Bert, Marc and Joanne and their spouses; grandchildren and two brothers.
In 1941 at age 14, Patrick began working in the Maine woods for various logging companies providing wood to Great Northern. He was a fourth degree Knight of Columbus and a faithful member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Portage Lake. In 1994 he retired and moved to Canada.
A memorial service will be held at a later date when Patrick Gagne will be laid to rest next to his wife.
