BANGOR – Raleigh L. Jenkins, 53, passed away peacefully Feb. 9, 2012, after a brief illness with cancer. He was born Oct. 27, 1958, son of Dorothy P. Brown and Raleigh Jenkins.
Raleigh was predeceased by his parents and a brother. He is survived by his wife, Bonita Jenkins; three daughters, seven grandchildren, his stepmom, four brothers, a sister, his mother-in-law, several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He attended schools in Bristol, Conn. Raleigh was a longtime employee of Lewis Auto Sales on Broadway, where he was liked by many. He loved cookouts, going camping with family and friends, and enjoyed gardening.
A memorial service will be held 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at Advent Christian Church, 2141 Broadway, Bangor.
