OLD TOWN – Betty Jane Glidden, 65, passed away Feb. 15, 2012, at her residence. She was born Dec. 17, 1946, in Calais, a daughter of Alvah Huntley and Dorothy (Dow) Huntley.
She leaves behind five children, Anita (Schoppee) Loring and her husband, Richard, Nancy Mckenzie and her fiance, George Gilks, Ricky Mckenzie and his wife, Amy, David Mckenzie, and Alvah Glidden and his wife, Naomi; 12 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; brother, Leslie Dow; and two lifelong friends, Donald and Hazel Mckenzie. She was predeceased by her husband, David Glidden; and sister, Juanita Huntley.
