BANGOR, Maine — Loud heavy metal music on Essex Street led to complaints from neighbors late Wednesday night, and when officers had to return to the residence, the man responsible was arrested, Bangor police Sgt. Paul Edwards said Thursday.

Jonny Ngo, 26, was given a warning to turn down his music at around 11:40 p.m.

“Thirty-five minutes later there was another complaint about heavy metal music and he was taken to jail,” Edwards said.

Ngo remained at the Penobscot County Jail at noon Thursday, a jail official said. (Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN)

  1. Wow, nice he is also the guy that sits at the bottom of the off ramp on broadway saying he is homeless and needs money, so he has an apartment and plenty of electronics by the sound of it,

    1.  I’ve seen and heard about him as well. From what I’ve been told he’s related to people that run a restaurant just 3 doors down from that off ramp that he hangs out at. He holds a big sign up begging for money and he’s not even homeless. It reminds me of that scene in the video/song  “I hate my life” by Theory of a dead man, in which he’s about to give change to a homeless man but then the homeless dude gets a call on his cell phone XD ha ha ha

  2. This perp should be handcuffed to a hot steam radiator and forced to listen to the music of Arnold Schoenberg , eh?

  3. Somebody needs to play the song by GEORGE THOROGOOD and THE DESTROYERS— “Get a Haircut and Get a REAL Job”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      1. The Old Folks going to the Beach Boys performance at the Waterfront probably want to beat them over the head with their canes for the $91.50 Ticket prices.

    1.  More and more I hear annoying punks crank Eminem music on their headphones on the city bus. His voice is so whiny it’s irritating. And to hear that nasal sounding voice rap sounds even worse. It’s angry music for white dudes that 1. cant get a decent girl friend or 2. has a girlfriend but she’s 300 lbs.

  4. The headline should be “Loud Music leads to arrest” as I trust the volume and not the type of music was the crime.

  5. On Essex St. Big surprise there. So how many times has that street been in the news in just the last year alone? and/or Garland St that crosses Essex. Actually it’s specially that area where Garland and Essex cross that is one of the worst spots. Cops are always over at those apartments.
