ST. ALBANS, Maine — A public hearing about a referendum question will be held at St. Albans Town Hall at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21.
The referendum question asks whether the position of road commissioner should be changed from an elected position to a position appointed by the town manager and confirmed by the Board of Selectmen.
Absentee ballots are also available at the town office for the March 2 municipal and referendum election. Polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The annual town meeting is scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday, March 3.
