CAMDEN, Maine — Two women were arrested Wednesday night, Feb. 15, and charged with trafficking in powdered ecstasy.
Dana Rader, 20, of Camden and Eleanor Brugger, 25, of Freedom were charged after a traffic stop in Camden led to a search of the vehicle and the discovery of 101 grams of the drug, according to Maine Drug Enforcement Agency Supervisor James Pease.
The two women had been under investigation by the MDEA and the Knox County Sheriff’s Office for a couple of months for bringing ecstasy into the Camden-Rockland area and selling it, Pease said. The women had been under surveillance Wednesday night when the MDEA asked Camden and Rockport police to stop the vehicle.
Brugger and Rader were both charged with Class B trafficking in ecstasy, which is punishable by up to 10 years in jail and a $20,000 fine.
Rader also was charged with violating a condition of release. She had been free on bail after an arrest in January by Rockport police for possession of ecstasy and theft.
Rader remained at the Knox County Jail in Rockland as of Thursday afternoon. Brugger was released on bail.

Three people, including myself have posted comments here and they have all been removed. I am asking BDN moderators why?
will they ever learn
Isn’t worth it to be involved in the drug scene. I hope these two learn a lesson from this and try to better themselves. Good job on Camden PD’s end getting those drugs that can potentially be deadly off the street.
People acting as “pushers” sellers, dealers, and whatever other names may be attached need to be in JAIL for a long, long time!!!!!!!!!!
Eleanor and Dana never “pushed” anything… maybe sold or dealt to customers who desperately begged to buy their product, which isn’t physically addictive and is very difficult to overdose on
“both charged with Class B trafficking in ecstasy, which is punishable by up to 10 years in jail and a $20,000 fine”… enough for me to be classed as doing something punishable!
We dont have enough jails that are large enough to hold all the dealers in this state if we caught half of whats going on ! Its a sad time in the pine tree state . Anybody think we dont have economic problems in this state only needs to read the local news . Desperate times bring on Acts of desperation !
Those girls never hurt anyone, anyone harmed by their actions was already commited to hurting themselves regardless of Brugger or Rader’s assistance. Attacks at the war on drugs need to be aimed at the source of the problem, which is not how the drug is distributed, but the influences that cause a demand to be created for these kinds of products. Eleanor and Dana are victims who need assistance, not prosecution
Brugger is 26 years old, not 25. She’ll be 27 in under 3 months
are you really serious anyone involved with these drugs have to pay the price i do not think anyone stuffed them into her hands without her wanting them
