BANGOR – John D. Maynard, 70, died peacefully Feb. 20, 2012, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Dec. 1, 1941, in Bangor, son of Amos and Helena Maynard.
John attended Dedham schools and worked for Silver’s Construction for 40 years.
He is survived by his brother, Henry Maynard Sr. and his wife, Cindy, of Holden; sister, Amy Cooper of Bangor; Loretta and Michelle, and their children; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; sisters; brother; and longtime companion, Patty Noyes. John will be sadly missed by his good friend, Alvin Holland; Everett and Ellen, who were like parents to him; and will also be missed by many others. John’s family gratefully thanks the staff of Eastern Maine Medical Center for their excellent care.
Family and friends may visit 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 69 State St., Brewer. A graveside service will be held in the spring at Union Cemetery, Dedham.
