FRANKFORT – Anthony “Andy” Wayne McKay, 47, passed away peacefully Feb. 23, 2012, at a Bangor hospital. Anthony was born March 29, 1964, in Bangor, to Jack Sr. and Nancy (Cole) McKay.

Andy worked all over the state for several area paving companies throughout his life. He enjoyed going to the ocean, camping, listening to country music, barbecuing with friends and family, and “occasionally” voicing his opinion. His greatest passion was spending time with his family, particularly his wife, children and grandchildren. He will be remembered as a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, and will be truly missed by all.

Andy is survived by his mother, Nancy McKay of Frankfort; his wife, Samantha M. McKay of Frankfort; children, Travis Graves and wife, Aundra, of Bangor, Tabbitha Dudley and husband, Jon, of Winterport and Cassandra McKay of Frankfort; grandchildren, Zacharia, Jeremiah and Veronica Dudley of Winterport and Elijah Graves of Bangor; a sister, Sue Seger and husband, Robert, of Frankfort; brothers, Jack McKay Jr. and wife, Cindy, of Etna, Richard McKay and wife, Jeannie, of Winterport, Timothy McKay and wife, Tracy, of Mariaville and Terry Ripley and wife, Lisa, of Searsport; his faithful canine companion, Tinkerbell; as well as several special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Andy was predeceased by his father, Jack McKay Sr., in 2010.
