CAMBRIDGE – Catherine Fowler, 89, died Feb. 26, 2012, at her daughter’s residence. She was born Jan. 17, 1923, in Cortland, N.Y., a daughter of Edwin and Elizabeth (Alger) Peek.
Catherine was a Navy WAVES veteran during World War II.
She is survived by two daughters, Leah and husband, Gordon Brainerd, of Branford, Conn., and Louise and husband, Raymond Cogswell, of Cambridge; two sisters, Mary Jane Peek of New York and Carolyn Tulley of Florida; 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
A memorial service will be held in June at Cambridge Baptist Church with Pastor Samuel McKeen officiating. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport. Those who wish may leave written condolences at
