GUILFORD – Edna P. Sanborn, 87, wife of the late Ivan Sanborn, passed away Feb. 21, 2012, after a short illness, at a Bangor hospital. She was born June 14, 1924, in Guilford, the daughter of the late Harley W. and Nettie (Ferro) Taylor.
Edna is survived by a sister, Helen of Maine; a special nephew, Robert Moore of Dover-Foxcroft, who cared for her for more than 50 years, and his wife, Barbara; nephews, Malcolm Marsh of Guilford, Ronald Taylor and his wife, Marcia, of Keene, N.H., Elvin McDonald and friend, Nancy Crabtree, of Guilford and Larry McDonald of Windsor Locks, Conn.; nieces, Phyllis Latham of Seaford, Del., Shirley Ludlam and her husband, Al, of Berlin, Md., Barbara Fregoe and her husband, Ron, of Brasher Falls, N.Y., Violet Ashford and her husband, Charlie “A.C,” of Dover-Foxcroft, Lynda Smart and her husband, Jessie, of Cambridge and Susan, Tammy and Penny; as well as many cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband; three brothers, Francis, Harry “Miles” and Eugene Taylor; and four sisters, Eunice, Elsie, Hazel and Gertrude. Edna’s family extends their gratitude to her special neighbor, Randy Martell, for all he did to help her.
Graveside services will be held in the spring at the family lot in Parkman. Arrangements are in the care of Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft. Messages of condolence and memories may be expressed at
