BREWER – Marjorie J. Osgood, 81, wife of the late Arnold L. Osgood, died March 2, 2012, at a Brewer health care center. She was born March 31, 1930, in West Seboeis, the daughter of Elmer C. and Sarah E. (Fleming) Lindsay.

Marjorie was a homemaker and volunteered for Eastern Maine Friends of Retarded Children, Brewer Rehab and was a Girl Scout leader for several troops. She was a member of Brewer TOPS Club, where she made many special friends and she attained her KOPS status.

Surviving are her children, Jean Johnson and husband, Bruce, of White Haven, Pa., Joyce Ashley and husband, Stephen, of Northeast Harbor, Robert Osgood and wife, Zita, of Holden and Nancy Brown and husband, Ronald, of Eddington; grandchildren, David Johnson and fianc‚e, Denelle Godek of Red Bank, N.J., Lisa Decowski and husband, Eric, of Freehold, N.J., Jennifer Saunders and husband, Chad, of Lewis Center, Ohio, Christine Ashley of Northeast Harbor, Corey Osgood and Kurt Osgood, both of Holden, Rebecca Parks of Fairfax, Va., and Heather Adams and husband, Peter, of Brewer; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Edwin Lindsay of Augusta; a sister-in-law, Madeline Lindsay of Howland; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, Arnold, in 2009; and by two brothers, Earl and Frederick Lindsay Sr.

Family and friends may visit 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 69 State St., Brewer, where a service honoring her life will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, with the Rev. Richard Hyman, pastor of Second Congregational Church, Brewer, presiding. Burial will be in the spring at Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer.
