Hope he is found soon!! The weather is awful tonight…. Please pray they find him!!
Please keep us posted on this story. Praying he is found safe.
A lot of people have been posting this on Facebook. I hope he is found safe.
A lot of kids going missing here in Maine a lot lately. What is going on here with this state? I hope for his safe return. I hope that they find him.
Hope your kid shows up safe.
There are no words that can describe the anguish that parents feel in the event of their child being missing. My son was taken once by the babysitter. Even when he was found and i was informed that he was on his way home NOTHING was going to pentrate my fear until my arms were around him and I had control of him. My heart is hurting for you.
The school bus in my town won’t drop off unless they see a parent in the doorway/door yard. Not sure what happens in that district. I’m hopeful for this family and pray for their son to be found asap.
Not usually for a child that age. Children are legally allowed to stay home alone at the age of 12. Our town requires the little kids to have someone present, unless you sign a waiver.
Children of any age are legally allowed to stay at home alone in Maine. in fact, only 11 states have minimum age laws for children at home alone. Most nof these age mandates are from ages five to nine.
He is 12 Years OLD. Which means he is in 7th grade or there bouts. Most districts only require adults to be at the bus stop for students in K-2.
Im a school bus driver and for my bus company we are required to see a parent for kids up to 2nd grade however we usually still do that for 3rd graders and if things are out of the norm 4th graders. He is 12 years old more then old enough to not only get off bus alone but be home alone. Hopefully he is just off with friends.
Maybe they did see an adult. I doubt the bus driver jumps out to ID the person to make sure they are not an aunt or uncle. Just saying.
I’m not suggesting either positive or negative, BUT people need to remember the age 12. Tom Sawyer & Huck Finn were 12 when they had their great adventures.
Sometimes on a warm spring day home just doesn’t seem like the right destination.
Yes, comparing satirical fiction to this situation is absolutely appropriate.
Sarcasm appreciated.
HHSIII sometimes I think I would like to sit and have coffee with you. You are an interesting person. I hope you are correct about the young man. I will pray for his safe return anyway.
Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer were characters VERY loosely based on a person. Plus, they lived in a warm climate. There is more reason to worry when a child goes missing during a Maine winter. He was missing during the freezing night.
Praying for a safe return.
Please God, take care of him.
I hope the boy is found safe and sound. I can empathize with the parents. My 12 year old grandson lives with me and I would be frantic if this happened to him.
Way too close to home; I hope and pray to God that he is found safe and sound. Please come home Micah!
Very sick and cruel to compare this poor innocent child to someone like LePage.
just found out he is ok very happy cuz we were close friends sence we were 5 :)
Sometimes, kids will be kids. I hope he just forgot about that pesky permission thing and ran off to a friend’s.
…and here you have put your finger on the precise problem with modern U.S. Governance.
It is illegal for a private company to sell lottery tickets, or play the numbers with customers, but the State government can.
It is illegal for the police or general public to enter your home without a warrant, but the D.H.H.S. can.
As you have indicated; A private physician may not “prescribe” the addictive narcotic Methadone, but the State can license “clinics” to dispense this drug which does nothing positive for the user.
There are also a litany of laws from which the State, and its employees are exempt. (including the legislators who make those laws.)
This dichotomy creates “classes” of people. those who must adhere to the laws, and those who are above them.
My opinion; not a good way to run a “free” constitutional Republic. Maybe the reason why we have so many of our fellow citizens in prison.
A good conversation, but I really do not know what it has to do with this particular thread.
Private Physicians can prescribe methadone in pill form. I know this as a family member has a prescription for it. In my opinion that form of Methadone is a huge problem in its own right.
I hope that this young boy is found safe and sound! ASAP! Good Parents and Good People do report it to the police when their children go missing.
Great news that he was found!! I hope the person that fought with this kid on the bus thinks about what his actions caused. Fighting is bad and doesn’t solve anything.
