BELFAST – Louise Butler, 84, passed away March 14, 2012, surrounded by her family at home. She was born in Belfast, daughter of Clement and Blanche Holmes of Belfast.

Louise was an avid bowler in her younger years, having won the city championship. She also enjoyed traveling with her family and friends, but her greatest joy in life was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Albert Butler; daughter, Annette Solebello of Portland; and sister, Catherine Gilmore of Belfast. Louise is survived by her children, Donald Butler and wife, Sandy, of Las Vegas, Elaine Jaffin and husband, Bob, of Rochester, N.H., and Jeanne Brigham and husband, Bill, of Topsham; siblings, Charles Holmes and wife, Marion, of Belfast, and Bernard Holmes and friend, Debbie Peterman, of Belfast; grandchildren, Toby Butler of Mount Laurel, N.J., Melanie Johnson of Stratford, N.J., Corey Brigham of Topsham, Mark Solebello of Portland, Kyle Solebello of Westbrook and Marlana Solebello of Ashland, N.H.; and great-grandchildren, Kayla and Zachary Johnson of Stratford, N.J., Victoria Butler of Mount Laurel, N.J., Mason and Owen Brigham of Topsham. She will be greatly missed by lifelong friends, Harold and Connie Jones of Belfast; and traveling buddy, Wilma Moses of Belfast.
