BANGOR, Maine — A bail check of a Bangor man helped send him back to jail after police found a hypodermic needle and knives at his residence, according to Bangor police Lt. Steve Hunt.
Craig Pelkey, 44, was arrested Thursday afternoon and charged with violating conditions of his release, Hunt said. He had been arrested in February for carrying a concealed weapon, the lieutenant said.
Hunt said authorities went to Pelkey’s Center Street residence to perform the bail check and found the needle and two knives.
He was taken to the Penobscot County Jail, where he remained Friday.

What is a hypothermic needle?
I suppose an embalming needle would qualify. Hypothermic means having an abnormally low body temperature. Or maybe it’s just a sharp pin for waking the dead.
used to inject warmth and a sense of security after a long cold night in the woods.
It’s LePage’s solution to the heating funds being cut.
google it. but seeing how you don’t know, that’s a good thing :)
I don’t need to google it. Everyone knows that it’s the sharp crystals of ice destroying the cell walls of a hypothermia victim (or, just maybe, the big typo in the first version of this article). :-o
Hypo dermic= Hypo= underneath, Dermic= derma= skin= Beneath the skin.
Try some reading comprehension before rushing to the reply button, huh?
The word was ‘hypoTHERMIC’, part of an only five word question in reference to a typo in the first version of this article. If you think that ANYONE here needs a definition of hypodermic, then you must really look down your nose at us.
Sorry, didn’t see first version of this artical. Was trying to be funny, pretty much a career fail eh?
Sawllrite, keek. :)
Good job , pilgrim.
Your ESL ( English as Second Language) classes are helping.
Stick with it.
See my reply above yours.
Keep him in jail for sometime.
Craig, where did you go so wrong boy?
You used to be a pretty good guy back when you lived in Eastport.
We still talk about the good times when you were here.
Folks, the inmates are running the asylum.
I suppose if the perp was a prostitute the cops might have a chance to double dip.
What is it with the love affair Maine consumers have with their bodyguards?
Goldman Sachs gets a get out of jail free card and these low level perps wind
up costing us $56,000.00 a year to warehouse at the REVOLVING DOOR
Criminal Justice system. Anybody with a calculator want add up what this perp
already cost us in previous stints in jail.
Yea crime is big business for the people running the system.
Let me know when you want to create a volunteer civilian review police board with subpoena powers.
Until then here are a couple of poster child cops of the day funded by our tax dime.
