STANDISH, Maine — Maine police say four men pretending to be drug agents are blamed for a home invasion in which a 6-year-old girl watched as four adults were handcuffed.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Departments say the assailants claiming to be from the federal Drug Enforcement Administration knocked down the door and used plastic ties to handcuff two of the adults Friday morning. A gun was pointed at the head of one of the victims.

The assailants ransacked the house and stole purses and prescription drugs. They disappeared after telling the occupants they were going outside to get a drug-sniffing dog.

Deputies said they didn’t get a good description because the men were wearing ski masks, but detectives recovered evidence from the home.

You have the right to resist unlawful arrest. This should have been a story of 4 thugs or DEA agents who received ballistic lobotomies.

The only reason this happened is because we live in a police state.

  1. Is it me or are the gangsters in Maine becoming more daring?  Time to buy another shotgun.

    1. I’ll bet there is a lot more to the story. But if it was a random hit, then it will be open season on the cops that storm houses. You have the right to defend yourself in your own home.

  2. Wow! These criminals know how not to get shot by a home owner . Wonder if this could set a new precadent on self defense and the way any law inforcment agency enters a home . I wouldnt think twice at this point on defending  my home or family  , in uniform or not .  some body better be holding and yelling  credentails and accomponied by a uniformed local agency.

      1. Haha.  I was just thinking the same thing myself as I read that they were wearing ski masks. Ummm, I think my first question would be “may I see your badge” and, ummm “care to show your face, Officer”?

    1. If they enter your home and refuse to provide actual identification (I.D. Card – A badge is not enough.  Actual law enforcement officers carry both), and upon warning, refuse to vacate your home, blow ’em away!

    1.  It’s like a mosquito buzzing in your ear at nite. Pull the covers over your head and that mosquito just finds its way in, irritating the heck outa ya….

      1. Agents who are working undercover will wear a mask to hide their identity.  When I lived in Orlando, DEA, FBI, and local law enforcement executed a search warrant and ALL of the DEA agents wore neoprene masks.  I’m sure if it was cold out like it is here, they may have worn ski-masks.

        1.  Did they also not have a search warrant, ransack houses, steal purses and prescriptions? You’re not in Orlando anymore…….things are done a bit different here in Maine. There was a drug bust recently where I live, involving MDEA, local officers, state officers and also feds….no one wore a mask…….I know…..I live nearby and watched it go down!

    1. Uh, because they were wearing ski masks and stole purses…  The real deal wouldn’t steal a purse. Hopefully…

    1. You are not kidding she is kililng me with these stupid reports.  I wish they would just ban her screen name

  3. They probably claimed to be DEA when they were outside, thinking somebody might open the door right away. Once they knocked the door down, it was probably obvious they weren’t the law.

  4. I’m interested in every one of your comments. Would you consider trying harder not to have them flagged or removed. I often am too late by the time I get here to see what you have to say.

    1. You are kidding right, her posts have nothing to do with the topic at all.  Its a lot of copying and pasting and quite honestly she or he is annoying

  5. If it was really DEA executing a warrent, they would have uniformed local law enforcment as backup around. Plus they would be in full tactical gear.
If someone comes to my door saying they are DEA, I would ask for photo ID as I was on the phone to 911 so the conversation can be recorded.   Plus the pistol in my other hand in case the
supposed DEA did not want to wait for local police to show up and decided to enter.

The moral of this story is don’t unlock your door to anyone you don’t know, and call the police if you don’t believe they are really police

    1. article says they “knocked down” the door. I dont think this family had time to say “hey let me see your ID”  I also suspect that by what I heard on the news of what they took they knew the family. Prescription drugs, purses etc and the news said it seemed like they knew what they were looking for and where

    2.  Instead of the poorly written advice column, you should try reading the story.
The fake DEA KNOCKED DOWN THE DOOR.  They didnt come to the door nicely allowing a person to ask them anything.
I’d love to see you balancing the cell phone, a pistol and some guys fake DEA badge at your door out of a sound sleep.  Youve been watching too many movies, hero.
      Back to Sleep.

  6. 5  armed masked men invade a house and tie up the folks in the house looking for dope.
So these masked robbers ” randomly” targeted this house for a drug robbery ??
They just thought ,”hey , lets try this house, bubba” ??
    Really ?? Really ??

    Cant wait for the details.
Have any “real” reporters looked into who the owner of the house is?
A background check on the owner? Police records etc??
Run a check on the license plates of vehicles in the dooryard.
Talked with the neighbors about their ‘”hood”.
Mere details perhaps , but may be important just the same.
Where oh where , can a real reporter be ??

  7. And they wonder why the increase in concealed weapons permits. Aftet this one, guess i will arm myself and to think i sold all my firearms a couple years ago.

  8. The homeowner(s) didn’t ask for identification.. or look out at what vehicles were in their yard. COME ON NOW!

  9. Your meds sound interesting , watch out for fake DEA agents ! I expanded my mind like that back in the 60’s , sure glad I stopped !
