CARIBOU – Royce L. Ballard, 84, a U.S. veteran, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at the Maine Veterans Home, Caribou, after a battle with cancer. He was born Nov. 11, 1927, in Limestone, son of Herbert and Madeline (McLaughlin) Ballard.
Royce is survived by his wife, Laura of Caswell; brother, Raymond of Caribou; sister-in-law, Janet Nabarowsky of Winslow; three children, Sandy, Brenda and Rick, and their spouses; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
Royce also leaves behind many great friends he enjoyed throughout the years.
Fiends 5-7 p.m. may call Saturday, March 24, at Lancaster Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St., Caribou, where a memorial service will begin 7 p.m. with Father Clem Thibodeau officiating. A reception will be after the memorial service at the funeral home. Interment will be held 10 a.m. Monday, March 26, at the Maine Veterans Cemetery, Caribou.
