EAGLE LAKE and FORT KENT – Winnie Brown, 90, died peacefully March 21, 2012, at an Eagle Lake health care facility. Winnie was born March 6, 1922, in Fort Kent, daughter of Baptiste and Flavie (Gagnon) Gervais.
Winnie was a past member of Ladies of St. Anne, Wallagrass and in Connecticut. She was employed at Etna Life Insurance Co. in Connecticut for many years before moving to Wallagrass. Winnie will be remembered as a devoted Catholic. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by one brother, John and his wife, Donna Gervais, of North Carolina; and three sisters, Ida Nolin of Lewiston, Isabelle Millette of Bangor, and Annette Hilton of Vermont. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Delmar Brown, in 2006; five brothers, Alyre, Lewis, Denis, Arthur and Gerard; and one sister, Juliette Violette.

until time of the service Tuesday, March 27, at Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a. m. Tuesday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Spring burial will be held May 14 at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Wallagrass. Those who wish may donate in her memory to St. John Vianney Renovation Fund, 26 E. Main St., Fort Kent, ME 04743.
