ELLSWORTH, Maine — An Ellsworth man is facing felony criminal mischief charges after reportedly smashing about a half-dozen windows in a shopping mall early Saturday morning.
Police said that Andrew Kephart, 26, used a PVC pole to break three large, plate-glass windows on the exterior of Maine Coast Mall in Ellsworth as well as two door windows and an interior plate-glass window at the T.J. Maxx store. The incident happened at around 1:20 a.m.
Damage was estimated at $7,500, Sgt. Shawn Willey of the Ellsworth Police Department said Sunday.
Kephart, who Willey described as intoxicated at the time of the incident, was quickly arrested and taken to the Hancock County Jail. He is facing charges of Class C aggravated criminal mischief as well as Class E criminal trespassing, Willey said. His arraignment is scheduled for May 25.

I wonder if he might be the same person that was breaking windows all the way from Brewer to Ellsworth last summer. That person broke windows at the McDonalds in Brewer, the old Friendlys in Ellsworth and a few other places.
I believe that guy was caught. And he’s in his 50s.
