BREWER, Maine — Bangor Hydro crews responded to power outages affecting customers mainly in Brewer and Holden around 9:30 p.m. Monday night.

Strong winds brought down a line serving two substations in Brewer, according to a Bangor Hydro press release.

By 10 p.m. 4,771 meters were affected in Penobscot County, 37 in Washington County and 11 in Hancock County.

Almost 2,100 homes were without power according to the Bangor Hydro live outage map around 9:45 p.m.

The estimated restoration time is 2 a.m., according to Bangor Hydro.
