FARMINGTON – Mary Gibson McConnell Thompson, 95, formerly of Presque Isle, passed away March 25, 2012, at The Pierce House, Farmington. She was born Sept. 29, 1916, in Marysville, New Brunswick, to Fred W. and Rhoda (Daryaw) McConnell.
She was predeceased by her brother, Fred W. McConnell, and was the widow of Dana “Tim” Thompson, a lifelong resident of Presque Isle. Mary is survived by her daughter, Ellen L. Giroux and her husband, Ronald, of Carlisle, Pa., and their five children, Suzanne Porter, David Giroux, Elizabeth Hartlaub, Deborah Giroux and Amy Beaver, and nine great-grandchildren; and daughter, Deborah Flight and her husband, Mark, of Mount Vernon, and their two children, Laura and Timothy.
A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle. Arrangements are in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at
