PRESQUE ISLE – Sylvia Mary Legassie, 63, passed away Monday, March 26, 2012, surrounded by her family at a Bangor hospital. She was born June 25, 1948, in Eagle Lake, the daughter of Ludger J. and Jessie (Bouchard) Michaud.
She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She co-owned and operated a janitorial cleaning business and apartments with her husband, Ron, for a number of years in Presque Isle. Sylvia was a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and very active in St. Mary’s Social Action.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald of Presque Isle; two sons and their wives, Michael J. and Kyla of Easton and Ronald J. Jr. and Gloria of Presque Isle; a daughter, Pamela McNally and her husband, Adam, of Presque Isle; five brothers, Edmund J., Harold J., Roger J. and Gene A. Michaud, all of Presque Isle and Allen Michaud of Mapleton; six grandchildren, Lacie, Christopher, Kenzie, Gabriel, Shaela and Colby; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, March 30, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Parish of the Precious Blood, Presque Isle, with the Rev. Raymond Morency, celebrant.
