AUGUSTA, Maine — Ticket sales for the $640 million MegaMillions jackpot have set a record in Maine.
Maine State Lottery Operations Director Tim Poulin says more than 1.5 million tickets were sold between the last MegaMillions drawing Tuesday night and Friday afternoon. He expects sales in Maine to top $1.8 million by the time the drawing is held at 11 p.m. Friday.
Poulin says the previous record for a lottery was in 2006, when $1.4 million worth of tickets were sold for a Powerball jackpot.

Im going to win. I feel it in my bones. Dont call and ask me for any money.
Yeah but you didn’t only the BIG STATES sold winning tickets.
Doesnt it seem like the winner of these big jackpots is always from Ohio or Arkansas?
Mainers shouldn’t have to buy lottery tickets to find out they are losers. Look what they elected as governor…
