SCARBOROUGH – It is with great sadness that the children of Ross Ingraham Howard, formerly of Saint John, announce his sudden passing March 26, 2012. Ross was born in 1928, to Charles and Marguerite (Williams) Howard.
He was a graduate of the University of New Brunswick and worked in the pulp and paper industry all his life. He loved spending time with his family, traveling with Joan, boating and his extensive toy soldier collection.
He was married to his lifelong love Joan for 55 years, and was predeceased by her by just three months. Ross is survived by one son, Derek and Lisa of Princeton; and daughters, Rossann and Andy of Saint John and Sonia and Joe of Hamilton, Mass. His grandchildren, Nicholas, Jenna, Hope, Camille, Kylie, Michaela and Eric; and special pet and constant companion, Sam, are deeply saddened to lose their grampy.
A private ceremony was held in Portland. Interment will be at a later date in Saint John. Arrangements by Hobbs Funeral Home, South Portland.
