CALAIS, Maine — An autopsy will be conducted in Augusta on Thursday in an attempt to determine the cause of death of 12-year-old Aloric Reardon of Lubec.
Sgt. John Cote, a Maine State Police detective, said Wednesday there is no suspicion of foul play in the boy’s death and that pre-existing medical conditions may have been a factor.
Cote said the boy was found unresponsive in his bed at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday by a family member.
According to the boy’s biological father, Mark Dias of Norfolk, Va., his son was diabetic and may have slipped into a diabetic coma before his death.
