BALTIMORE — A woman who has claimed to have Maryland’s winning Mega Millions ticket now says she has lost it.

Mirlande Wilson of Baltimore told WRC-TV in Washington she would claim the jackpot if she finds the ticket.

Wilson previously had said she hid the ticket at the McDonald’s where she works.

One of three winning tickets for the record-breaking $656 million prize was sold at a 7-Eleven in Milford Mill. The others were sold in Kansas and Illinois. So far, no one has produced a winning ticket.

  1. If she ever had the ticket to hide it, she’d have to be one big dummy to admit hiding it in McDonald’s. Everybody in town would’ve shown up to tear the place apart. No wonder she “can’t find” the ticket now.

  2. The ticket was probably stuffed into a bag of burgers and handed out the drive thru………………..

  3. Ha ha ha…who the heck would hide the ticket and lose it.  I would have it glued to me…..she never even had the ticket.  She needs help….

  4. Let’s just hope for her well-being that she didn’t resign.  Bad enough losing the $640M ticket but to also quit a good job like that?  That would be twice as bad.

  5. you hid the ticket at work? come on!!! I would keep it in my wallet if I had a brain cell….

  6. Who knows if she ever had it but here’s an interesting fact.In Maryland you can remain anonomus, wondering if her lawer advised her to say it was lost and she simply collects it later. No one would ever know who cashed it,maybe only that it was claimed.

  7. Simple: Demand she tell lottery officials where she bought the ‘lost’ ticket. If she can’t declare that in a straightforward manner, then she can be challenged as to whether she ever HAD a ticket, never mind lost it. Once she declares the place of purchase, it is an easy matter to see whether a winning ticket was (a) bought there and (b) yet to be claimed. Only if (a) and (b) are true does she have a case. Also, they can pull video surveillance tapes from her supposed place of purchase to verify that was there. There’s an electronic trail of data that will very quickly prove or disprove her ‘story.’ And all it is thus far is a ‘story.’

  8. If I had bought the winning ticket and lost it, I wouldn’t expect anyone to believe me, so why bother advertising it.

    1.  I found your ticket..you must have dropped it while leaving the store..if you give me 500 bucks,I will return it back to you…lol…(just a joke bdn)

      1. You mean I can stop turning the Burger Kings upside down too? How about I pay you the 500 after you give me the ticket and I cash it in (provided I don’t loose it again) lol

        1.  ok.sounds fair to me..i will look for it tonight and get back to you..haha (pretty sure I left it on the fridge)

  9. This woman is as dumb as a pile of rocks, just listen to her speak…. She never had the ticket, what a joke..

  10. Now, did anyone really think she had it in the first place? No one wins the lottery and hangs on to the ticket for a while.
