FORT FAIRFIELD – Athill William Irvine, of Aroostook County, passed away April 2, 2012, in Dunedin, Fla. He was born June 5, 1925, in Mars Hill, the eldest of three sons to Seldon and Goldie Irvine.
He was predeceased by two sons, Timothy and Gerard; and brother, Pete. He is sadly missed, but his presence continues to abide with his wife, Alice; daughters and sons, Ted, Cynthia, Tom, Susan, Will, Chris, Bonnie and Gordon, and their spouses; grandchildren, Matt, Jamie, Nick, Evan, Chris, Emma, Henk, Peter, Robin, Garrett, Jace, Goldie, Clara; one great-grandchild, Bethany; brother, Hollis; as well as with all those who knew him.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 13, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Winthrop. Burial will be immediately after at the new Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Mount Vernon Road, Augusta.
