Barbara had her special gifts. I remember one of the last times she called me. She called me on Valentine’s day this year to share what a special surprise she had received that day. She described in detail her interaction with a member of the Houlton Council of Catholic Women knocked on her door and gave her a basket of goodies with a Valentine attached. She was so thrilled that she had been remembered by the members of the Council. I have to say that Barbara shared her time during the HCCW rummage sale by coming up and helping to sort and fold baby clothes. She was a great help. Barbara kept in contact with Alice’s family and friends and loved to share Alice stories on a regular basis. May her soul be at rest.
