LINCOLN – Alice M. Pete, 76, wife of the late Lawrence Pete, passed away April 16, 2012, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Sept. 21, 1935, in Hartland, daughter of Thomas P. and Cecilia (Thompson) Mushero.
Alice was a homemaker all her life, worked as a babysitter and was a foster parent. She volunteered as a driver for Eastern Transportation for many years. She was a loving mother, enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, hunting, fishing and camping.
She is survived by a daughter, Loretta Howe and her husband, Harry, of Houlton; grandson, Harry Lawrence Howe and his wife, Shannon, of West Enfield; two special great-grandchildren, Brody Lawrence and Emma Marie Howe; two sisters, Lillian Pete and Shirley Voisine, both of Lincoln; two brothers and their wives, Ralph and Olivia Mushero of Lincoln, and Arnold and Ethel Mushero of Mattawamkeag; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Lola; sister, Louise McLaughlin; and two brothers, Andrew and Thomas Mushero.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at South Lincoln Cemetery with the Rev. Kevin Hatch officiating.
