BRUNSWICK – Jimmy “Jack” Davidson, 66, of Maine Street, died Sunday, April 8, 2012, at Maine General Hospital, Augusta. He was born Dec. 6, 1945, in Ada, Okla., son of Ira and Thelma Davidson.

He graduated from Farmington High School, Farmington, N.M., in 1964 and joined the U.S. Air Force the same year. Jack worked as a heating technician and retired as a master sergeant at Loring Air Force Base, Limestone, after 24 years of active duty service. He then worked civil service for both the Navy at Winter Harbor Naval Group Activity then most recently for HVAC Unit at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, N.C., until retiring in December 2010 upon moving back to Maine. Jack was a dedicated husband and father. He enjoyed the warm weather, yard work, and spending time with family, friends and pets in his new home.

Jack is survived by his wife, Sandra Kneeland Davidson, formerly of Machias; daughter, Carla Stockdale and “son,” Brian Stockdale, of Brunswick; youngest daughter, Heather Davidson of Portland; two sisters, a sister-in-law and their families, Patsy Hewitt of Farmington, N.M., Mercedes and brother-in-law, Gordon Durham, of Longview, Wash., and Gerry Davidson of Amarillo, Texas. He will also be remembered fondly by his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Freeman Beal, and their daughter, Stacey, and her family. Jack was predeceased by an older brother, Lindsey Davidson of Amarillo, Texas; and sister, Betty Woods of Springfield, Mo.

There will be a memorial celebration of his life 11 a.m. Saturday, April 21, at Stetson’s Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick. A reception will be afterward at Stetson’s Funeral Home Family Reception Center. Donations may be made to Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care, P.O.
