WEST BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – Michael C. Brandt, 33, formerly of Center Barnstead, N.H., died peacefully April 19, 2012, after a courageous battle with frontotemporal degeneration. He was born and raised in Houlton, where he enjoyed summers at Camp Caribou. He was the son of Carolee (Sikes) Brandt of Columbia, S.C., and the late Carlton G. Brandt.
Michael was the loving husband of Katherine D. (McMullen) Brandt and father of Noah T. Brandt. Michael was a passionate intellect and a graduate of the Maine School of Science and Mathematics, received his bachelor’s degree in theology from Saint Anselm College and master’s degree in philosophy from Boston College. Michael was a teacher at Saint Thomas Aquinas High School, Dover, N.H., and the owner of KNM Compnet Design. Michael’s family, friends and colleagues will forever remember his engaging personality, compassionate spirit and fearless approach to life, love and learning.
In addition to his wife and son, he is also survived by a sister, Jennifer Brandt Saltal; his grandmother, Fay Sikes; friends and extended family. Michael’s family extends a heartfelt thank you to the exceptional Neuro Rehabilitation Center staff for the warmth and care shown to Michael and his family during his stay with them.
Visitation will be held 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St., Route 123, Brockton, Mass. The funeral procession will gather 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home for a funeral Mass 11 a.m. at St. Ann’s Church, West Bridgewater, Mass. Burial at Calvary Cemetery.
