HODGDON – Laura M. Hutchinson, 74, died April 20, 2012, at her residence. She was born June 7, 1937, in Houlton, daughter of Marvin and Helena (Smith) Foster.
Laura was a communicant of St. Mary of the Visitation Church. She was employed as a certified nurse’s aide at Madigan Estates for 17 years. Laura enjoyed writing poetry and was published several times. She was married to Leon Hutchinson for 55 years.
Laura is survived by her husband, Leon; her son, Alex Hutchinson and his wife, Lisa, all of Hodgdon; two daughters, Christy Hutchinson of Houlton and Helen Folsom and her husband, Bruce, of Hodgdon; three grandchildren, Alex, Lindy and Morgan; her sister, Edna Johnson of Hodgdon; several nieces and nephews; and two special cousins, Eugene Foster and Jackie Bassingthwaite.
