OLD ORCHARD BEACH, Maine — The sister of a man found dead in Old Orchard Beach over the weekend says police told her that her brother was stabbed to death.

An autopsy on the body of Roger White, 49, was performed by the state Medical Examiner’s Office in Augusta. He was found Saturday morning behind a bar called The Whaler where he had been seen Friday evening. His death was called “highly suspicious.”

White’s sister, Cheryl Boucher, tells The Portland Press Herald her brother was a well-liked, lifelong resident of town.

She says he made a living doing odd jobs for contractors. He was one of five children and had two grown daughters of his own.

One of his friends at The Whaler says White was a gentle soul who had no enemies.
