HAMPDEN – Frances J. Rickards, 66, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, April 13, 2012.
She was the beloved and devoted wife of Earland W. Rickards for 42 years. Frances was a faithful member of West Hampden Baptist Church. She worked for several area businesses and for many years in the payroll and benefits department at Dead River Co. Fran’s family spoke of her as being the most selfless person they had ever known. She always gave of herself in so many ways. Always making sure others were taken care of. She never complained and was patient, loyal and genuine, a true Christian woman.
She is survived by her husband, Earland “Earl”; daughter, Tanya A. Burns; stepdaughter, Robin Swords; brother, David Howes; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Heartfelt thanks to Dottie Rich for her loving and gentle care of Fran 24/7 – right up to the end, and to all our family and friends at West Hampden Baptist Church for all their love in taking care of Frances. Also, special thanks to Hospice of Eastern Maine for working so tirelessly to provide Fran with the best care.
A memorial service will be held at a date and time to be announced. Memorial gifts in Frances’ name may be made to West Hampden Baptist Church, 574 Western Ave., Hampden, ME 04444.
