BANGOR, Maine — Hollywood Casino will play host to model Shannon James on Saturday, April 28. The 25-year-old James was Playboy magazine’s Miss May in 2007.
“It’s always exciting when someone of Ms. James’ caliber visits the casino,” said Hollywood Casino General Manager John Osborne. “She has been featured not only in Playboy, but in many other magazines as well as the Howard Stern Show. She is a pleasure to talk with and I look forward to introducing her to our guests in Bangor.”
The meet and greet with Miss May 2007 will begin at 7 p.m. at Hollywood Casino. The evening also will feature an opportunity to win a share of $2,500 worth of free slot play.
In addition to being Miss May 2007 and featured on “The Howard Stern Show,” James also has been featured in Guitar World, Reality magazine, Steppin’ Out magazine, and recent New York & Co. advertisements. She is a working model and and recently appeared on an episode of MTV’s “The Hills.”

Well its alot better than hearing about the foolishness and stupidity that is coming from Bangor City Hall from the last few days. This beautiful woman coming here to contribute to our economy and spend the day meeting with the folks at the Casino is a win win. Hopefully this is the beginning of bringing in more big name celebrities to Bangor, besides those who peform at the Waterfront Concerts. It will send a more positive message about our state and about Bangor.

I have been holding off in order to read the comments: This blond-from-a-bottle (men, tell me if this is a “real” blond or not, please) had her contract with Playboy ended by limitations, so I guess she is free-lancing right now in order to work. Funny sometimes why blond’s seem to get the attention, especially in the entertainment field they all look alike? Without pre-empting Ms. James’ “display” at the Slots in Bangor, she will not be taking her clothes off at all, but rather I would bet (pun intended) she will appear in a very colorful nano-bikini for the guys (and some girls) to look at – but NO TOUCHING ALLOWED!
