VERNON, Conn., and ISLAND FALLS – William S. Numrych, 91, beloved husband of 64 years to Dorothy (Morin) Numrych, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012, at Vernon Manor. Born in Rockville, Conn., the son of Wojciech and Karolinah (Luszczki) Numrych, he had lived in Vernon, Conn., his whole life.

Prior to his retirement, William was a machinist in charge of the tool room at Hamilton Standard for 44 years. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of Rockville Baptist Church. William loved hunting, fishing and gardening. He especially enjoyed his hunting and fishing trips to Island Falls. He was a lifetime member of Rockville Fish & Game Club and the TKB Club, Rockville, Conn. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother and friend who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, William is survived by his daughter, Schelly Numrych of California; two brothers, Edward Numrych and his wife, Pauline, of Chicago and Chester Numrych and his wife, Alfreda, of Florida; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Richard Numrych, in 2005.

His family will receive friends for calling hours 2-4 p.m. Thursday, April 26, at Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road, Route 83, Vernon, Conn., where funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 27. Burial with military honors will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 30, in the family plot at Island Falls Cemetery, Island Falls.
