EAGLE LAKE and FORT KENT – Ronald Toussaint, 57, went on to live his eternal fifth day with Jesus, his brother, April 24, 2012, in Eagle Lake. He was born Dec. 25, 1954, in Eagle Lake, son of Roland and Emelda (Ouellette) Toussaint.
Ron was a member of the third degree Knights of Columbus Council No. 0352, Fort Kent, and American Legion Post No. 176, Eagle Lake. Ron will be remembered as an avid fisherman and also enjoyed hunting with family and friends. He owned and operated his own construction business on Sly Brook Road, and was always there to lend a helping hand. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by three children, Brandy Millington, Travis Toussaint, and Kacey and her fiance, Troy Pelletier; eight brothers and sisters, Lorraine Day, Norman and his wife, Suzzane, Anita Dunn, Lena Sirois and her husband, Marcel, Donald and his wife, Kathy, Rella Poulin, Daniel and his wife, Debbie, and Kenneth and his wife, Donna; one granddaughter, Tearyn Millington; many aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one sister, Bertha Toussaint; one brother, Willard Toussaint; and the mother to his children, Lola Toussaint, in 2009.
Friends may call 8:30-10 a.m. Monday, April 30, at Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Committal services will be afterward at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Soldier Pond.
