EAST MILLINOCKET – Angeleen Gallo, 91, passed away April 25, 2012, at a Bangor hospital. Angie was born Jan. 27, 1921, in Millinocket, daughter of Dominic and Felicia (Nicolazzo) Gallo.
She attended Millinocket schools, graduating from Stearns High School, class of 1941. She soon joined the WAVES during World War II out in California, then went to cosmetology school in Minnesota. She then returned to Millinocket and set up her own shop, and assisted her sister Joan raising her two children.
Angie is survived by her sister, Joan Ippoliti; niece, Rae Ann French-LaRochelle and husband, Fernand; nephew, Michael Ippoliti and wife, Lorian; niece, Mary Ellen Kennedy and husband, Tom; many other nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family 9:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, at Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket, where the rosary will be said 9:45 a.m. by Daughters of Isabella. A Mass of Christian burial which will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday at Christ the Divine Mercy Parish at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 19 Colby St., Millinocket, with the Rev.
