COLUMBIA FALLS – Pameila “Meme” M. (Bagley) Foster, 66, died April 22, 2012, surrounded by her family after battling lung cancer. She was born July 29, 1945, in Machias, daughter of Willard E. and Mary R. (Melanson) Bagley.

She was predeceased by her parents; two brothers, Milton Bagley and Edmond Bagley; sister, Darlene; and her beloved husband of 44 years, Everett “Billy” I. Foster Jr. She is survived by her two sons, Michael E. Foster and girlfriend, Lisa Stevens, of Hancock, and Lee W. Foster and wife, Mary, of Omaha, Neb.; daughter, Nora M. Stanley and husband, Matt Stanley, of Ellsworth; three sisters, Jeannette Worcester and husband, Russell, Patricia Thaxter and husband, Morton, of Columbia Falls, and twin Pamela Look and husband, Duane, of Addison; two grandchildren, Ashlee Fountaine and husband, Joe, of Cherryfield, and Nathan Stanley of Winter Harbor; two very special great-grandchildren, Teiya and Kaden Fountaine of Cherryfield; several nieces and nephews; and her cat, Pudd.

Since her diagnosis a little more than a year ago, Meme crocheted more than 50 granny-square afghans and lovingly gave them to family and friends.

A graveside service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, May 6, at Ingersoll Cemetery, Centerville, with Clara Driscoll officiating. Friends are invited to join the family to celebrate Meme’s life after the service at the old Columbia Falls Elementary School. In lieu of flowers, those who desire may make contributions in Meme’s name to Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center, 3 High St., Ellsworth, ME 04605.
