LINCOLN – Pauline Frances Olsen Jordan, 88, passed away April 26, 2012, at a Lincoln health care facility. She was born Feb. 15, 1924, in Lincoln, daughter of Wilfred and Bessie (Clifford) Grattan.
Polly attended Lincoln Congregational Church and had been a Sunday school teacher there. She was active in the operation of Lincoln’s first clothing bank. She enjoyed bowling and family get-togethers.
She is survived by three children, Melvin W. Olsen Sr. and Terry, Eileen Ireland, and Donald A. Olsen and Anna; five grandchildren, Melvin W. Olsen Jr. and Jody, Donald W. Olsen, Dawn Stinson and David, Barbie Tibbetts and Gil, and Cheri Archer and Danny; eight great-grandchildren; three stepchildren, Cindy, Verna and Carol; several stepgrandchildren, great-stepgrandchildren, great-great-stepgrandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Donald W. Olsen; second husband, Calvin Jordan; brother, Melvin Grattan; son-in-law, Carroll Ireland; and stepdaughter, Beth.
Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday with her son, Donald A. Olsen officiating. Interment will be at Lincoln Cemetery.
